When it comes to DPPA protected data like ADD’s DMV123 state records, ADD is a stickler about security. The Federal Driver’s Privacy Protection Act clearly outlines when and by whom a record can beaccessed legitimately. The security of our valued customers’ accounts as well as the protected information we provide in order for you to conduct business and comply with state and federal requirements is literally our number one priority at ADD.

Recent articles I have written focused on the federal National Motor Vehicle Title Information System (NMVTIS) rules intended to be refreshers about the national reporting requirements. Since there have been some changes at a state level and some confusion, I hope this helps to clarify the NMVTIS system and reporting process as a whole.

As part of ADD’s continued effort to better serve our customers ,ADD has added Saturday mailings for DirectPost-Office certified letters. Any certified letter generated in DirectPost-Office before 11:00am EST on Saturday will go out the same day. Sending Certified Letters out 6 days a week will assist States that have a shorter length of time in their statutory requirement for notifying vehicle owners and lienholders.

As you may have noticed, Auto Data Direct has recently changed some of our security procedures. These changes will allow ADD to keep your account and the data you have access to more secure. Where do I log in? Where you originally would enter your username and password on the top right of ADD123.

On Wednesday, July 19th, at 2PM , ADD will be conducting an overview of the EFS system that allows your dealership to issue permanent metal plates and perform permanent plate transfers for your customers. The webinar will address common errors, how to solve them, as well as when things should be handled by the tax collector.

In order to better serve customers, ADD is extending the cut-off time for sending out letters in DirectPost-Office. As of May 9, 2017, letters will process at 11:00 am EST instead of the previous 10:00 am EST. Letters created before 11:00 a.m. EST will now go out on the same day, letters processed after 11:00 a.
