With the Christmas and New Year’s holidays right around the corner, Florida Dealers should be sure to have plenty of temporary tag stock on hand. For the Christmas Holiday: UPS will not be picking up or delivering tags on Monday, December 24th or Tuesday, December 25th. If you need temp tags before the Christmas weekend, they must be ordered by Thursday, December 20th before 3:00 pm.

As part of Auto Data Direct’s continued efforts to protect customer’s private data and DPPA protected data, ADD has begun the transition of using two-factor authentication in order for customers to log in to their accounts. Currently, it is only required for those requesting South Carolina vehicle records, but in the coming months, it will be expanded to more customers.

In August the National Auto Auction Association (NAAA) issued a cautionary bulletin to its members alerting them to new practices in at least four states that could impact the value of their inventory. The NMVTIS database has now been active since March of 2009 and literally millions of salvage vehicles have been reported to the database. As the only database of its kind with salvage vehicle and state information available, the NMVTIS database reportedly includes 96% of all the US vehicles. The database does not contain personal information like registered owners, addresses or lien holders.
