Auto Data Direct is making a change to the Florida Towing Notice of Claim of Lien letter effective 7/1/18 to correlate with the Florida Statutes and the Florida DMV’s rules as it pertains to Towing and Storage. The ‘other’ field, which is a fillable field, will no longer be available on the Towing and Storage Notice of Claim of Lien and Proposed Sale of Vehicle. ADD’s Customer Service team offers a few handy ADDTag tips: What to know about voiding a metal plate: After voiding a metal plate issuance, the customer’s metal plate reverts back to the VIN it was associated with before the current issuance. The dealer should then notify their client so that the customer is not driving a vehicle with an invalid license plate.

The 2018 NIADA Convention & Expo is just around the corner! The convention will run from June 18th through 21st of 2018 at the Rosen Shingle Creek Resort in Orlando, Florida. This year’s NIADA convention will be a collaborative effort between NIADA, FIADA, and NABD in order to bring dealers the highest quality of classes and speakers as possible making it the industry’s first- ever Mega Conference!

ADD recently won a spot on FSU’s Seminole 100 awards program. The program recognizes the 100 fastest-growing FSU alumni-owned businesses in the U.S. at a celebration on FSU’s campus each year in Tallahassee, FL. ADD was the sole Tallahassee company ranked in the top 10 on the list. Jim Taylor, Auto Data Direct’s Founder and President, graduated from FSU in 1979. His great-grandmother graduated from West Florida Seminary and his grandmother was a graduate of Florida State College for Women, the predecessors of Florida State University. Both his daughter and son graduated from FSU as well.
