State Audits Underscore ADD’s Commitment to Security

on Thursday, December 7, 2017 by Beth Williams

ADD would like to brag on both their staff and their customers for successfully completing several state audits this year! As a customer, you know the intense focus ADD places on security measures to protect DPPA data provided through its DMV123 inquiry services. Not only is it the right thing to do on behalf of the individuals whose records are being accessed, it is absolutely vital to ADD’s ability to maintain those real-time connections with each jurisdiction’s database.

ADD undergoes multiple audits every year and can proudly say that they have never failed an audit since the company was founded in 1999. Audits can be routine and occur sporadically throughout the year, or they can be very in- depth. For one state audit, ADD was required to obtain survey responses from tow company customers with access to that state’s records. ADD is very proud to report that they have had 100% compliance with customers who were asked to respond. That cooperation was vital to the final results for a positive audit outcome. Thank you!

States that have or are currently conducting audits this year include South Carolina, Pennsylvania, Delaware, New Jersey, and New York. Each time, ADD’s ability to provide details on their processes and security safeguards reassures these states that ADD has respect for and values their contract for this unique type of connection. While ADD staff works very hard every day, and in particular during audits, to ensure the best security measures in place, ADD customers’ adherence to those measures is the bottom line when it comes to maintaining our important relationships with the states.
