The new non-profit represents independent vehicle title agents from tag and title services and dealerships across the United States.

Auto Data Direct, Inc. (ADD), a Reynolds and Reynolds company, announced today a new partnership with the newly formed National Independent Vehicle Title Agents (NIVTA), a non-profit membership association for independent vehicle title agents from tag and title services and dealerships across the United States. ADD is one of NIVTA’s first business partners.

“ADD is proud to support NIVTA at its inception and to be a supportive partner as it grows nationally,” said Mike Samaan, national sales director for ADD. “Title agents are a significant part of ADD’s customer base, and this new association will provide a forum for collaboration and education on issues that impact the vehicle titling and registration process for consumers and the industry alike.”

“The NIVTA organization is proud to have ADD as a founding business partner. ADD provides access to essential tools to assist independent vehicle title agency services in providing motorists with compliant and fraud-protected transactions, giving agents in thousands of offices across the United States access to motor vehicle services,” added Beth Caro, president and CEO of NIVTA.

Both ADD and NIVTA prioritize security, protection of personal data, and fraud-fighting efforts that benefit all parties involved in motor vehicle transactions. ADD has contracts with 44 jurisdictions to provide access to state title and registration data through DMV123, a secure, real-time inquiry system. This service is available to industry members qualified under the federal Driver’s Privacy Protection Act and individual state privacy laws.

Caro continued, “This partnership between independent vehicle title agents and the Department of Motor Vehicles exemplifies a successful connection between the private and government sectors in providing vehicle records and beyond. We look forward to advocating for the support and inclusion of independent licensed agents’ relevance within the automotive industry.”

NIVTA unites independent vehicle title agents, vehicle dealership agents, and associate members like ADD under a common mission: to serve as a platform for identifying and resolving industry-related issues. Its collaborative efforts include engaging with governmental bodies and stakeholders to enhance the uniformity, integrity, and efficiency of vehicle ownership and registration processes across departments of motor vehicles and associated governmental agencies.
