Customer Service Presents: Security Update FAQs

As you may have noticed, Auto Data Direct has recently changed some of our security procedures. These changes will allow ADD to keep your account and the data you have access to more secure.

Where do I log in?
Where you originally would enter your username and password on the top right of, you will find a button that says “Log in to”. This will take you to the new log in screen. If you’ve bookmarked another log in page, that link may no longer work, so be sure to bookmark and start from there,

Have the password requirements changed?
Passwords are going to have slightly more complex rules to make sure that you are using a properly complicated password that is less easy to guess. When you are prompted to make a new password a handy password checker will let you know if the new password will be allowed. Additionally, passwords are now changing every 90 days rather than 180 days.

Your account will be locked after 5 failed password attempts—this is to prevent an individual from forcing their way into your account. Simply call ADD’s customer service department at (866)-923-3123 so that they can confirm your identity, unlock your account, and reset your password if necessary.

What are these security questions?
In order to ensure that ADD is speaking with you when you call for assistance, ADD now requires that you answer three security questions. This is similar to what you may have seen on other web services such as any banking websites you use. ADD will use these questions to verify your identity when you cannot access your account and need a password reset.

Can I change my security questions if I forget them?
Yes! You can call and verify your identity and ADD’s customer service representatives can assist you.

Can I share my account with my coworker, employee, husband, wife, etc.?
No. Every individual accessing DPPA protected information must have their own account so that ADD can verify their identity and know exactly who is accessing the database. This is not only for the safety of the records themselves, but also for the safety of your company.
