Pre-printed tags are available to purchase in multiples of five and can only be used if the DHSMV or Auto Data Direct is experiencing difficulties and dealers are unable to access the EFS or ETR systems. In order to use the pre-printed tags correctly, they must be reported within 24 hours or once the system is back online. To do this, click on your ADDTag app , select the +New button, and then select “Offline Issuance” under the “Issuance type” drop-down menu. In order to stay compliant with the DMV procedures and protocol, it is important to complete this step after issuing a DMV-issued pre-printed tag.
