Lienholders can access repossession title applications from your ELT manifest, by clicking the Lien Options menu (look for the gear icon) next to the title in question and choosing Repossession Title Application from the menu that appears. It is important to note that this is simply the application form. By completing this form, you are not electronically submitting the application to the DHSMV. The repossession title application process has not changed. Lienholders will still need to submit the application in person, at your local DMV, tax collector or tag office, along with any supporting documents required to complete the process.

How do I satisfy a lien after I have converted the title to paper?
The process for satisfying a lien after converting the title to paper remains the same as it was before the implementation of the ELT process. Lenders simply need to sign off on the title and take it to the DHSMV or local tag office to be processed. Because the lien is no longer electronic, you will have to physically present the lien paper in order for it to be released from the title.
How soon can I get the paper title after I select to “Convert To Paper” in
the ADD system?
After converting your electronic lien title to a paper title under the ELT tab, it takes about 3-4 business days before the title is available for pickup from any Fast Title Office (there is an additional $10 convenience fee to pick up the paper title). If you choose to have the title mailed, it should be received in about 14 days.
I processed a lien after the ELT system was mandatory, but before I got my
ELT number. Now my lien is not in my ELT manifest. Where did it go, and what do I do?
The DMV allows lenders to process two (2) ELTs as exceptions in the event that the lender does not have an ELT number. If your lien was recorded as an ELT Exception, you must go to the tax collector/tag office/DMV branch and explain that it was processed as an “ELT Exception” and that they must give you a paper title showing the lien. Following that, you will handle it as a paper title with a lien.
How do I satisfy a lien?
When you are ready to satisfy a lien, locate that specific customer title in your ELT manifest. Under the Lien Options menu (look for the gear icon) for that title, you will be presented with several lien satisfaction options. You can either choose to Satisfy Lien , Convert to Paper or Satisfy Lien and Convert to Paper.
By choosing the Satisfy Lien option, the lien will be satisfied and the title will remain in the electronic system. No paper title will be issued. After a lien has been satisfied, only the owner of the vehicle may request and receive paper copy of that title 3-4 business days after the lien satisfaction.
By choosing the Convert to Paper option, any liens on the title will remain in place, and after 3-4 business days, the lienholder may pick up a title from any Fast Title Office (there is an additional $10 convenience fee) or choose to have the title mailed, in which case it should be received in about 14 days.
Choosing the Satisfy Lien and Convert to Paper option will satisfy the lien on the title AND provide a paper title to the owner by mail. You will be asked to provide the name and mailing address for the owner. This process typically takes up to two weeks.
