I had to send a Good Faith Letter but I didn’t get a response. What do I
do now?
If law enforcement does not respond to your Good Faith Letter you may continue with your auction. You will still run your newspaper ad as you would for any other vehicle, as well as attach a Good Faith Letter Affidavit to your packet. To do this, you will search and click on the VIN for your vehicle in your DirectPost-Office. You will then see a tab labeled Attach Forms. Here, you will click on the drop-down menu labeled Select Form Type , select Good Faith Letter Affidavit and click the button labeled Open PDF Application. This will bring you to a confirmation page; simply select the button labeled Add to DirectPost Packet.
Can I send out a Mechanic’s Lien and a Towing Notice of Claim of Lien
and Sale on the same Vehicle?
No, you cannot send both letters for the same vehicle.
I’d like to report a towed vehicle to NMVTIS, can I do it from
DirectPost-Office?
Once you have the received a Certificate of Destruction or end-of-life title for a vehicle, you can report it vehicles for free through DirectPost-Office, as long as you have created and mailed Full Service claim of lien letters using DPO!
First, search your DPO manifest to locate the VIN for the vehicle you would like to report to NMVTIS. Click the VIN and look for a series of buttons on the bottom of the screen. The orange button labeled Report to NMVTIS will take you the individual upload feature for NMVTIS and pre-fill most of the information for you. Once you have finished filling in the required information, you will click on the submit button, and your vehicle will be reported to NMVTIS!
I am a Texas towing operator, when do I send my second letter?
If a towed vehicle is not claimed by an authorized person before the _15th day after the 1st notice is mailed or published, _ a second letter to the owners and lien holders must be sent.
I am a Buy-Here, Pay-Here dealer, what can DirectPost-Office do for me?
ADD offers Buy-Here, Pay-Here dealers several helpful forms through the DPO system, including the Florida Notice to Surrender Letter and Florida Notice or Discharge of Repo Recovery Attempt . Dealers attempting to recover a vehicle can place a stop on an individual’s registration by sending the prescribed DHSMV forms (82192) to the owner through DirectPost-Office. The second notice (82191) must be sent by regular mail, along with a copy of the completed 82192 to the DHSMV.
