On October 1, 2016 participation in the new Nevada Electronic Lien and Title service will become mandatory for Nevada businesses recording 27 or more liens per year. Mandatory compliance for all lienholders will be in effect by fall of 2017.
As of September 1st, our ADDTag customers have a new, modern look for issuing temporary tags, transferring temporary tags, and managing temporary tag stock. The new ADDTag also gives dealers access to the Electronic Filing System, a convenient way to save dealers time by allowing them to skip a trip down to the DMV to issue permanent metal plates and transfer permanent metal plates.
What is ETR?
The Electronic Temporary Registration system is the DMV system that allows dealers to electronically issue temporary tags and report offline issuances.
As a result of the recent flooding in Louisiana, the timely reporting of flood-damaged vehicles to NMVTIS will be very important for the businesses that handle the influx of water logged cars.

9/8 - 9/10: Tennessee Tow Show (Chattanooga, TN)
Auto Data Direct, Inc. (ADD) is the authorized agent for scrap metal processors, secondary metal recyclers, auto recyclers, dismantlers, and used motor vehicle parts dealers in Tennessee to fulfill their state regulations under T.C.A. 55-3-202 (Public Chapter 466) which went into effect July 1, 2016.
The deadline for mandatory Electronic Lien & Title (ELT) in North Carolina was July 1, 2016 and Auto Data Direct has you covered with all ELT needs and requirements! Any business that finances vehicles, vessels or mobile homes in the state of North Carolina will be required to obtain an ELT number to process titles.
Starting July 1st the state of Alabama is updating their towing regulations, requiring tow companies that handle abandoned vehicles to report the vehicle as “unclaimed” to the Department of Revenue (DOR). This report must be submitted within 5 calendar days after the vehicle has been determined as unclaimed, or storage fees may not be assessed.
It’s been a long time coming but both modernized ETR and new EFS are now available to ADDTag customers! Every day more and more ADDTag customers are migrating over to the new user-friendly ETR interface, with many are choosing to also become a new EFS participant.
